About me: Cheri Killam (or Killam Caplan, depending on how you know me) is happily married to Michael Caplan and the proud mother of Max, Solomon, and Clara. After several University experiences (and two degrees), I made the massive decision to go to law school at age 37. I graduated in 2012 (and am therefore entitled to label myself as Cheri Killam Caplan MA JD – Madge for short) and barring unforeseen circumstances, I’ll be a fully-fledged lawyer as of June 6th. The good people of Nathanson Seaman Watts are delighted to employ me as their very first Articled Clerk. At least, I hope they’re delighted!
When I’m not blogging or lawyer-ing, I read like a fiend, host one book club and attend another, and I run. I’m signed up for the Bluenose 10k in May and I’d love to do the Harvest 1/2 Marathon this year, after having done the 10k for the past 3 years. I also love all things local! Obviously.
About this blog: this is NOT a review blog, or a critique blog. If you want ratings or rankings, you’re looking in the wrong place. This is me, rooting for the amazing local vendors at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market and me, rooting for the amazing stuff they grow, build, create, fashion, shape, harvest, cook up, cook, imagine, and otherwise bring into our local universe. Think of this blog as an up-close-and-personal guide to local awesomeness. Root local with me!
